    Key Word “Fobrication”

If you are planning on a trip near or far here is some advice from BroncOitis , get yourself another set of Key Fobs….
Your Bronco will allow you to program an Extra set of Key Fobs, and will work as if they were the set that came with your Bronco.
I have two links below where I bought my key fobs from, and they both work great!!!
I don’t know if anybody has priced out a new programmed key fob from your dealership, but I can tell you that they will run you over $300.00 for one key fob, if you were to lose one of them.

The key fobs that I have bought do not have the Bronco insignia on the back, but then again you would only be paying extra for the word “Bronco” and how often does anyone see your key fob.
The key fobs are exactly the same as the originals, with exception to the insignia on the back, and I only payed $30.00 for one and $35.00 for the other.

Here are some things to remember and keep in consideration when getting additional key fobs, the key that is inside of the fob is not cut for opening your locked door or locking your glove compartment and arm rest.

Should your key fobs battery die, you will not be able to unlock your door unless you get the key cut.
You will also need both original programmed key fobs to program more, it will not work with only one original key fob.

    Now let’s get Started:

*Make sure you have both programmed and unprogrammed key fobs with you.

*Take everything out of your armrest/console and pull out the fabric that sits at the bottom.

*You will not touch the brake until the very last part of programming process.

NOTE: I only started my vehicle at the very end of the process because the first couple times trying to program the key fobs, it didn’t work until I started the Bronco.

The steps to do this correctly did not have you start your vehicle, but following those instructions didn’t work for me until I started the vehicle……”coincidence” I don’t know!!!

When you are done programming your new key fob the lights will flash on the dash and if I remember right the horn will honk, and you will get prompts on the dash screen saying your “key fob is programmed” and I know one time like I said earlier, it said to hit the brake and start your vehicle, and that’s when it seemed to work.

If it doesn’t work the first time go through the process again like I had to…….

I have an aftermarket key fob that does not program to my 21 Bronco. I ordered a fob by vin from a dealer for 39 bucks delivered and it programmed easy. Turns out there was a short window of dual frequency fobs in late 21 and I have one. If anyone is looking for a fob I have one.

        I know I’m good!
You can only have 4 Key Fobs programmed, the 2 Originals and 2 programmed by you…..
        That’s it…..
