    Drone

I’m looking to get a drone for the trip to Moab. Who’s got a drone and what do you have?

I'd like to get one, too. CalGecko has one and uses it a lot during his excursions with the Gold Country Broncos. I'll ask him for some feedback. Durt Reynolds, an Instagram poster I follow, routinely generates content using a drone. I'll ask him about the one he uses.

Another option to think about: renting a drone. I use Lensrentals.com to rent cameras all the time. It lets me try out new gear before buying, and sometimes I feel safer renting gear with a rental insurance policy instead of taking my own gear to higher risk areas. They rent several drones.

I gleaned this from Durt Reynolds on Instagram: "I have a DJI Mavic mini 3. I’d recommend the mini 4pro. They’re under 250 grams so you don’t have to do FAA bullshit license. 4K picture and easy to fly/learn." His videos are impressive; they give you a clear bird's eye view and provide context to his off-roading excursions. Here's what a quick Google revealed about them:

DJI Mini 4 Pro, weighing under 249 g, integrates 4K/60fps HDR True Vertical Shooting is an ideal choice for beginners, helping create exceptional masterpieces.

I haven't yet heard back from Calgecko on Bronco Nation.

I’m leaning towards one of the 3’s(Air 3, Mavic 3 Classic or Mavic 3 Pro).

right now my pocket book isn’t agreeing with me.

I have the Mavic 3 Mini Pro for personal use. It works great for its size! The advantage the new Mini 4 Pro has is the side sensing.

I just watched this guy's video on YouTube and found it helpful. He's a professional videographer, and he was pretty funny about choosing the "right" device. Very entertaining video. Worth a look. 19 minutes in duration.
