    Skid Plates

Added some skid plates to my bronco today. Wish I would have added them the day I picked it up.

I had to straighten the shock mounting plates to fit
the skid plates over them. The front crossmembers are bent up some also.

I just got done ordering 3 items for the Bronco, just received one of them.
I just got the front differential skid plate from Extreme Terrain, brand is ICON Impact, and it looks better than I expected and is very heavy duty.
I also have Pinch weld skids and front control arm skids coming today.
So far I have put on the Rear Shock skids from DV8 and also the Rear Control arm skids from also DV8.
Can’t wait to get these bad boys installed!!!

I just spent a couple of hours installing the rest of my body armor, and I would have to say that I’m pretty impressed with how easy it went on and how it looks.

Maybe that is what I need to cover the cross over of the exhaust system that looks like it could easily get hit by a rock looking at the picture. Click image for larger version

I guess that’s the advantages of living so close to work, 2 years old and that’s all I have in miles.
Most of the miles are going up North several times a year and once out to Moab.
If they wouldn’t spread salt all over the place even if it’s just rain, it would look like I just took it off the lot.
Just don’t look under the hood, it’s the only place I haven’t cleaned yet…..

Figured I would catch up to some old information and add to it as far as skid plates.
This past summer 2025 I have added the underside transmission skid plates from Mabett, I thought for sure it would have went together well with my Icon differential skid, but I was wrong.
I had to modify the Icon skid just a little with a grinder to make it fit, an hour later it fits perfectly……
